I was approached by Brian Patrick Wade to shoot for Gloom and I just started shooting in October. After I got some photos I made an account at modelmayhem.com and just started answering casting calls, contacting local photographers, etc. Then after I got some more images in my portfolio now the photographers contact me and want to shoot. So I highly suggest modelmayhem.com to get you a great start.
