Music is life for many of the great musicians that have come and gone throughout history; this band is no exception. When listening to Art Of Chaos the first thing that comes to mind is the energy that they put into playing their music. Art of Chaos fuses n-metal, alternative and hard rock influences to forge a sound uniquely their own. Founded just over two years ago, the band includes singer Brian Torres, guitarists Matt Ardisson and Miles Knowls, bassist Jeff Sutton and (as of February 1st) former drummer Dave Feldman. The five have been writing, rehearsing and gigging relentlessly, with well-received shows throughout Southern and Northern California.
Art of Chaos' last album was distributed in 2007 and titled 'Crimson & Catharsis'. Although they have yet to release a full album you still get every pennies worth with the five songs that are included. The song that had left a lasting impression to me was 'Coward', as it displayed some of the best all around sounds that are needed to make it in this industry. As a relatively under the radar band, it is a honor to be able to know about this band before they explode on to the limelight and to be able to review them from an objective standpoint.
In order to fully grasp the chemistry that Art of Chaos gives off just imagine Linkin Park or Incubus come out on the stage at a live performance. The blood starts pumping and the adrenaline that flows through your veins is just the precursor to another great show put on by the very best in the business. I just get that same feeling when watching Art of Chaos step up on to the stage. They have that incandescent vitality of a young band that just wants to play good old fashion rock & roll.
