Gloom Nation is an open community supporting alternative photographers and models from all around the world. It is a place to interact, promote our work, and be seen. In a nutshell here is what Gloom Nation is: Gloom Nation is a FREE alt modeling community website where photographers from all around the world can submit sets of their work (around 20 images) and be published on the Gloom website.
Here is what you need to do to become a Gloom Nation Photographer. First you need to set up a photoshoot with a model, the photoshoot should be sexy, creative, and implied nude

For your first few shoots we request that you email us proofs (low res jpg) of the 15 or 20 images you want to use for Gloom Nation. When you are ready to email them you can email them to brian-at-gloomnation-dot-com for our review. Once we approve the set we will give you the Gloom Nation template so you can paste your images into the Photoshop template. Once you do that you are set to go and your images should be ready to go live on the site within a week.
Last Gloom Nation shoots are exclusive to Gloom. Meaning that you should not give out other pictures of the set to the models or post them on your myspace, Model Mayhem, or anywhere else if the pictures DO NOT have the official Gloom border/logo on them. If they DO have the Gloom logo then feel free to post them anywhere you want. If you are a photographer and you want to use your Gloom Nation photos with out the logo on them for your professional website/book, print, or gallery showing that is perfectly OK! You do own the pictures and that is your right. We just feel the photos will not be exclusive, making them less special if they are plastered on every networking site with out the Gloom Logo.
If we find you or your model is posting pictures from the set with out the Gloom logo we will remove your set from Gloom Nation. For sets submitted in the past we are letting this slide. We believe one of the most important things is to give the photographer creative rights and ownership of their work. That right there is what separates us from all the other sites.
What do I the photographer get out of shooting for Gloom Nation? Well a lot things! The chance to be published online and be part of a growing online community. As of Nov 2007 Gloomnation.com is averaging 42,120 hits a day.
