I love Ellen. She has made some very positive moves as an equal rights advocate. It is just incredible that some of our country holds on to such puritanical values...Sometimes it seems like we are placed on one side of the spectrum or the other, and in reality, it is no one else's business what you do behind closed doors but your own, as long as it is safe, sane and consensual. These people who spout all of these hateful accusations usually do have a deep rooted insecurity about themselves, or something they are ashamed of. Look at New York right now! Hopefully one day everyone can be comfortable enough with their own identity and needs so that they don't have to tear other people down in order to affirm who they are!

i can't find the words to describe the kind of fucked up logic that an "elected official" like that must use to come up with such brilliant points like "studies show that no society that has totally embraced homosexuality has lasted more than a few decades." WTF??? what studies exist to prove that point? when were these studies conducted? how stupid are these people who are listening to this speech?
as soon as she said "according to God's word", i knew that nothing this women had to say was going to have any speck of logic or make any quality or factual points. "their life spans are shorter"...what? i would love to know what books this woman reads, outside of her literal translation of the bible.
I could go on forever picking apart how illogical every word of this speech, of this propaganda, is wrong but ultimately we all know just how wrong she is. Even to go as far as to compare "the threat" to that of terrorism and Islam. the only real threat here in this country is the ignorance and greed of white, Anglo-Saxon Protestant who equate any group not agreeing with or following their religious sentiment as an enemy or a threat.
