Gloom Nation is a work in progress and will be launching in a couple of weeks, it will also be replacing Grims Girls on the Gloom Magazine website. In a nutshell here is what Gloom Nation is: Gloom Nation is a FREE alt modeling community website where photographers from all around the world can submit sets of their work (around 20 images.) Gloom Nation is an open community supporting alternative photographers and models from all around the world. It is a place to interact and promote our work and be seen.
If you want to model for Gloom Nation the first thing you need to do is find a photographer that wants to work with you. You also want to set up a Gloom Profile (It's FREE) and add some of your pictures. You might also want to send the photographer you will be working with here so he can understand how things work.
GLOOM NATION is looking for photographersQUESTIONS & ANSWERS Q: Are Gloom Nation models only sexy girls?A: No we do not believe in gender discrimination.
Q: How old do models need to be for Gloom Nation?A: 18 years of age since photoshoots are implied nude.
Q: Do I need to sign a Model Release?A: Yes you are required to sign a model release before you start shooting.
Q: Do models get paid?A:NO, Since Gloom Nation is a free artistic community all photoshoots are TFP (TRADE FOR PICTURES.)
Q: How many pictures will I get?A: Anywhere from 10 to 30 photos with the Gloom Nation border and logo on them.
Q: Do I get a CD of all the images or any originals?A: More than likely no, since your photoshoot is exclusively for Gloom Nation. Though this is up to the photographer you are working with.
Q:Do I need to get naked on the shoot?A: This is all up to the photographer and you. I tell my models this before I set up a shoot, "It all depends on the what outfits you have and what the goal of the shoot is. More than likely you will have to get somewhat naked to get the right shots, since these shoots involve teasing and implied nudity."
Q: Can I take nude photos?A: If you want to. But we DO NOT allow ANY fully nude pictures showing nipples or vaginas, or anything that is 18+! We are a FREE community site and pride ourselves in being and Alternative Modeling site that is not an 18+ adult website

Don't get me wrong I'd love to see you naked since I am a warm blooded male, but for this site to work and stay FREE we need to make it implied nude, teasing, and just plain sexy shoots.
Q: I have a friend that is an MUA (MakeUp Artist), Clothing Designer, Stylist, ... Do they get credit?A: They will get credit and a link to their Gloom Profile.
Q:Do I need to provide outfits?A: More than likely YES. Though some photographers may have some outfits for you. Also this is the perfect opportunity to help a friend advertise their clothing line for free. Since everyone involved in the photoshoot will get credit. If you have to bring your own clothes I would bring a bunch of stuff that they think is sexy and the photographer can go from there.
Q:Do I provide my own makeup?A: If you can do your own makeup that is great, you may also want to have a MUA (MakeUp Artist) do your makeup. Let them know they will be getting credit for their work.
Q:Can I bring an escort to the photoshoot?A: This is up to the photographer. I personally don't recommend it. From my experience escorts kind of get in the way on photoshoots. Sometimes escorts make the model feel uncomfortable when trying to pull off a sexy look.
Q: How can I become a Gloom Nation Model?A: First thing to do is set up a Gloom Profile (they are FREE), upload your some pictures and then find a photographer to work with you on your set.
Q: I have a Question you did not answer?A: Ask it on this forum so I can update these Questions & Answers
