I just had a bowling event with my volunteer group. That was fun, although not very personal, just bowling..

A house party and/or BBQ is more my style, it's all about the mingling. Of course we could also have a pot luck bonfire or a picnic in the park.

Who else is in?

How about an all gloom roller skating night?!
I've been thinking about organizing one for a while now.
It's $120 to reserve the rink but with enough people it would be the price of regular admission for each.
Plus you get a cake!

That sounds fun too. For $120, we would need like 20 people?

It's 12 people for $120 so it's $10 a piece and everyone after that pays $12 which is the regular price anyways..
Plus there's CAKE!

Well, if we reserve the whole darn rink and it's just us and the slushy guy there.. why not? I wouldn't recommend it unless you're an experienced skater though, you wouldn't want to do the pillowflop.

We may need to check which dates are available to rent first. We'll start with you Laura. Pick 3 dates that work for you and then we'll vote.

in linda vista they have adult skate on tuesday nights.. and they have a coupon in the reader for buy one admission get one free.
Its never packed... so its not a big deal to just overtake the skating rink. I love going there.

I like Kelly Lee's idea mainly for two reasons.
1) I love coupons, saving money is always great on my wallet!
2) What if 12 people do not come

Who is paying the $120? I know we came out -$100 at the last Gloom house party

Also Laura (CandySpooky) if you want to head this party I crown you the event coordinator If you think we can get 12 people we can do it your way but I'm broke this month

Seriously I've been to the skating rink on tuesdays a few times and there are maybe 20-30 people there max.
I think its even more fun when there are total strangers there to people watch and scare away too.

I think we should go this tuesday the 5th as a good bye party for miss panda!!!

I also prefer coupons as I have college to pay for.
I didn't know there was a rink in linda vista but it sounds good!

I second the fifth! I'll go score a few coupons today from Readers. Does anyone want to meet before skating for food, coffee, conversation, etc..?

I guess the next thing is to contact the people that we want to be there that haven't already replied to this post.

Skating on the 5th it is! Brian will help spread the word tonight. We also will soon have a new event at a venue and we hope to soon be working with local bands for future events
