Take me from this Tundra!

The worst Winter in about 20 years. And you can see the effects on every face you pass.

We’re sour. Sarcastic. Sinister…. And yet a little sentimental, desperately waiting for the Spring to return.

We’re sick of the ice. The snow that falls on top of it. The ice that comes back again. The cold wind that chills our heart. Punches our lungs. Conceals any bit of joy with a layer of crystal frost.

We’re wound and bound. Ready to let this energy send us  bursting through the tree tops, diving into river waters, and sprinting through green fields amidst sunshine and dandelion seeds! We’re ready!

I want that warm air to heavy my lungs, moisten them and cleanse me of this dry sickness that’s plagued me all Winter.

I want to throw away these shit-stained long-johns.

I want to walk upright, without fear of cracking my skull on slick concrete.

I want to ride my bike.

Wade in the river.

Feel my testicles again!

I want the rebirth. I’m ready for it. To be sent through Mother Natures snatch.

It can’t come too soon…

--- That being said, I'm heading South for a week. Cheers.
